Hi, I’m glad you’re here!

My name is Sarah, and I’m passionate about helping busy women connect with God in the midst of everyday life!

Growing up as a missionary kid in France, I had a front row seat to what faith-in-action looked like. But eventually I had to learn how to live the Christian life on my own. Over the course of the last 20 years, I’ve discovered that nothing matters more than growing in our faith and pursuing a deeper relationship with God.

Right now for me, that means cultivating spiritual practices in the middle of busy “mom life.” It also means being intentional with the time God has given us. I wrote a book for just that reason! Around the Clock Mom: Make the Most of Your God-Given Time is a resource filled practical wisdom and biblical inspiration to help you steward your time faithfully as a busy mom.

This website is a place for women who are ready to claim their place in God’s kingdom, as God’s beloved and as God’s hands and feet in the world around them. It’s a place for busy Christian women to live more intentionally with the time God has given them, especially on the journey to a deeper faith.

Here in this corner of the Internet, you can expect to find company in the struggle to belong from the “Out of Place” series. You can find resources to grow in your faith, and encouragement in motherhood, with a few book recommendations thrown in for good measure. Be sure you never miss a post by joining my newsletter!

And in case you’re curious…

I married my husband twenty years ago, when we were both just 20! Over the years, we’ve lived in Michigan, Texas, and now California. I was a special education teacher for eight years before staying at home with my boys, a decision I have never regretted!

Since then, I’ve worked for my church as the lead MOPS coordinator, and as a youth ministry leader. And most recently, I received my Masters’ of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.

These days, I live in San Diego with my husband and two boys (ages 10 and 8). You can find me speaking at local churches, scouring thrift shops for treasure, ignoring housework to read a good book, or scribbling my thoughts down in my writing notebook.

I’d love to hear more about you! Feel free to contact me anytime (sarahbutterfield@gmail.com)
