Hi, I’m glad you’re here!
Growing up as a missionary kid in France, I thought you had to go big for God or go home. In the past 15 years, I’ve discovered that living in the kingdom of God means taking even the smallest opportunities to to love and serve our neighbors well. Right now, that means finding ways to pursue missional moments in the midst of everyday motherhood.
My husband and I live in San Diego with our two boys, ages five and seven. In my role as a mom and as a ministry leader, I’ve developed a passion for helping women pursue their calling to further the kingdom of God in ordinary, every day ways.
This is a blog for women who want to put their faith into action. It’s for moms in the trenches who wonder if they’ll be anything more than butt-wiping, carpooling, short order cooks. It’s for women who want to make a difference in the world but don’t know where to start. If this sounds like you, stick around!
Here on this website, you can expect to find encouragement in kingdom living, and motherhood, with a few practical life tips thrown in for good measure. Be sure you never miss a post by joining my newsletter!
And in case you’re curious…
I married my husband almost seventeen years ago, when we were both just 20! Since then, we’ve lived in Michigan, Texas, and now California. I was a special education teacher for eight years before staying at home with my boys, a decision I have never regretted!
These days you can find me scouring local thrift shops for treasure, ignoring housework to read a good book, or writing a memoir about finding belonging as a missionary kid.
I’d love to hear more about you! You can contact me anytime (firstname.lastname@example.org), and you can usually find me hanging out on Instagram.
