Hi, I’m glad you’re here!
Growing up as a missionary kid in France, I thought you had to go big for God or go home. In the past 15 years, I’ve discovered that belonging in the kingdom of God means taking even the smallest opportunities to to love and serve our neighbors well. Right now for me, that means finding ways to pursue missional moments in the midst of everyday motherhood.
My husband and I live in San Diego with our two boys, ages six and seven. In my role as a mom and as a ministry leader, I’ve developed a passion for helping women know that they belong in the kingdom of God.
This is a blog for women who are ready to claim their place in God’s kingdom, as God’s beloved and as God’s hands and feet in the world around them.
Here on this website, you can expect to find company in the struggle to belong from the “Out of Place” series. You can find resources to grow in your faith, and encouragement in motherhood, with a few practical life tips thrown in for good measure. Be sure you never miss a post by joining my newsletter!
And in case you’re curious…
I married my husband almost eighteen years ago, when we were both just 20! Since then, we’ve lived in Michigan, Texas, and now California. I was a special education teacher for eight years before staying at home with my boys, a decision I have never regretted!
These days you can find me scouring local thrift shops for treasure, ignoring housework to read a good book, or writing a memoir about finding belonging as a missionary kid.
